It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian Eugene Blodgett of Washington, Iowa, who passed away on September 17, 2024, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Blodgett and Marilyn Blodgett (Jones); his grandparents, Ezra, Mary Jones, Melvin and Marjorie Bishop; and his niece Emily Nash.
He is survived by: his wife Michelle WalterBlodgett of Washington, Iowa; his son Aaron Blodgett of Iowa City, Iowa; his grandchildren, Elyse and Talon Blodgett of Washington, Iowa; and his siblings, Lori Orris (Kevin) of Washington, Iowa, Lonna Blodgett of Brighton, Iowa, Jeff Blodgett (Michael) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Michael Hesseltine (Jacque) of Brighton, Iowa. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dallmeyer Hall (611 IA-1, Washington, IA 52353).
Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County or the Washington County Hospital Foundation.
