She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Bermel and Edith Bermel (Smith); her husband Vic; and her brother Don Bermel. She is survived by: her children, Diane Havens (Al) of Tiffin, Kevin Flynn (Brenda) of Wellman and Vicki Erwin (Randy) of West Chester; her grandchildren, Matt (Brittany), Angela, Courtney (Matt), Megan (Jason), Dillon and Michelle (Dylan); and her sister Delores Loney of Iowa City. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established for the American Heart Association, Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, Hospice of Washington County and the United Presbyterian Home.
