He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Shepard and Violet Shepard; his stepmother Iona; his brother Doug; and his stepbrother Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen (Casey); his stepsiblings, Jesse, Arthur and Julia; his granddaughters, Jennifer (Joshua) and Jessica (Michael); his great grandchildren, Max, Raphael and Emmitt; his former wife Sue Volkamer; his children, Kathy Powers (Ricky), Garret Shepard (Deb), Lee Ann Shogren (Bill) and Doug Shepard (Melissa); his grandchildren, Joe, Sarah (Kris), Adam, Christopher, Jesse, Mandy, Stefanie (Brent), Tyler (Tia), Spencer and Wyatt; his great grandchildren, Tai, Mimi, Tatten, Dekker, Oliver and Paisley; his stepchildren, Kathy Archambeau (Lyle), Kevin Casey (Anna) and Maura Coenen (Pete); his grandchildren, Meghan Williams (Nick), Brianne, Rachel, Ella, Thomas, Connor and Casey; and his great grandchildren, Fiona and Jack. He is also survived by married in 1999, and his five children, three stepchildren and 29 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
