It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ann C. Leet (Washington, Iowa), born in Washington, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 25, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Chambers (Gartley) and James Chambers; her former husband John Girdish; and her husband Arnie Leet. She is survived by: her daughter Jen Girdish of Washington, DC; her son-in-law Michael Phelan; her grandchildren, May Phelan and Fox Phelan; her siblings, Ruth Wolfe (Ed) of Greenville, SC, Jane Chambers (John Bissell) of Greenville, SC and James Chambers (Judy) of Germantown, MD.; her stepdaughters, Jill Townsend (Joe) of Warren, Ohio and Dana Chileski (Andy) of Marysville, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Jordan Townsend, Jolie Townsend, Addie Chileski and Daniel Chileski.
In lieu of flowers, Ann requested donations be sent to Local Bible Publishers in Lansing, MI. Her daughter encourages an alternative donation option to the Children & Families of Iowa, a domestic violence shelter.
