He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Lea Adkins of Wapello; his children, Brian Peters (Linda) of Cleburne Texas, Dion Peters (Joan) of Burleson, Texas, Beth Swift (Randy) of Washington, Iowa, Shayla McBride of Burlington and David Gerdner (Joanne) of Middletown, Delaware; his grandchildren, Aaron Peters (Janie), Amanda Jones (Chris), Hal Peters, Miranda Peters, Veronica Payne, Valerie Payne, Jason Humpton, Joshua Humpton, Sean McBride, Stephen Gerdner and Gabrielle Gerdner; his great grandchildren, Mason, Ayden, Nathan, Kyia, Evan, Seth, Emily, Alex, Taylor, Noah and Casen; and his great great grandchildren, Rylynn and Lucas.
