With solemn reverence, we commemorate Karen Jane Johnston of Wapello, Iowa, whose life came to an end on April 20, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Bob" McKinney and Helen Maxine McKinney (Earnest); her husband Tom Johnston; her in-laws, Clem and Wilma Johnston; her sister Julie Jacobs (Dave); and her nephew Scott Keltner.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Johnston (Shelly) of Burlington and Tami Kerr (Brad) of Florida; her grandchildren, Zak Kerr (Jenn), Alex Kerr, Kyla Johnston and Tyler Johnston; her great grandchildren, Brooks, Boston and Baylor Kerr; and her brother David McKinney (Joellyn) of Wapello.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello (209 Franklin St, Wapello, IA 52653). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services (209 Franklin St, Wapello, IA 52653).
A memorial has been established for the Wapello Fire Department and the Wapello Ambulance.
