With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julio Ruiz De Chaves of Wapello, Iowa, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Julio Ruiz De had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Julio Ruiz De may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julio Ruiz De Chaves and Florendia Rodriguez Ortiz; his son Juan Luis; his niece Maria Gaudalupe; and his mother-in-law Eustolia Perez.
He is survived by: his wife Manuela Lutz Perez of Wapello. He is also survived by 10 children; 23 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services (209 Franklin St, Wapello, IA 52653). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (102 Gamble St, Columbus Junction, IA 52738).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the family in Julio's name.
