He is survived by: his wife Ruby Bolander; his daughter Connie Pierce (William) of Wapello; his granddaughters, Sandie McDowell (Walter) of Overland Park and Bridget Pierce of Austin, Texas; his great grandchildren, Noah Garr and Zach McDowell; and his sister Phyllis Faria (Al) of California.
