Jerry McGill Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry McGill of Wapello, Iowa, born in Grandview, Iowa, who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Dickerson McGill and Faith Lillian McGill (Stinemen); and his siblings, Pete McGill, Hal McGill, Marian McGill and Marilyn McGill.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Moore; his children, Jerry McGill (Cherri) of Wapello, Kim Brown (Doug) of Wapello and David McGill (Shelly) of Johnston, IA; his grandchildren, Seth McGill (Jade), Summer (Blake Friis), Chad Brown (Lori), Bethany (Shay Moore) and Cade McGill; and his great grandchildren, Fiona McGill, Jude McGill, Pheobe McGill, Gabe Friis, Cooper Friis, Parker Friis, Ethan Brown, Zion Moore and Zephyr Moore. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family kindly ask those attending the visitation and funeral service to wear a mask due to the pandemic concerns.

A memorial has been established for the Wapello Fire Department and Wapello Ambulance Service.
