He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrle Bockes and Dorothy Bockes (Jones); and his siblings, Joan Huston, James and Donald Bockes.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Jo Harris of Wapello; his children, Jeff Bockes (Cindy) of Morning Sun, Jon Bockes of Wapello and Beth Hines (Bill) of Wapello; his grandchildren, Bryan (Sarah), McKayla, Courtney (Jake), Anna (John), Allison (Trevor) and Carly; and his sisters, Beverly White of Osceola and Marilyn Watts of Hannibal, MO. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
