It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jarin Michael Gerst of Wapello, Iowa, born in Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on July 7, 2020, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Judy, Ernie Gerst and Lee Dotson. He is survived by: his parents, Michael Gerst and Kay Dotson Gerst; his siblings, Justin and Jaime; his children, Parker, Lucas, Riley and Tyler Gerst; and his grandmother Bonnie Dotson of Wapello. He is also survived by his parents, siblings and various aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund for his children will be established at the State Bank of Wapello.
