It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgia Ann Van De Maat of Wapello, Iowa, born in Muscatine, Iowa, who passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gayle Jarvis and Louise Jarvis; and her siblings, Dean, Max, Alice and Dorthy.
She is survived by: her husband Daryl Van De Maat of Wapello; and her children, Brent Van De (Shelly), Vaughn Van De (Sue), Dennis Chasteen (Jenny) of South Dakota, Deanna Chasteen of Minnesota, Sherry Curry of Muscatine, Monty Curry (Linda) of Muscatine, Kevin Curry of Muscatine, Pam Curry of Muscatine and Melody Hagerty (Joe) of Muscatine. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Georgia's name.
