With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Dickey of Wapello, Iowa, who passed away on March 27, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dickey and Ida Dickey (Kramer); his wife Pat; and his siblings, Leota, Verlee, Mable, Venita, John, Frank, Viola, Helen and Gilbert.
He is survived by: his close friend Francis Whisler; his children, Steve Dickey (Michelle) of Wapello, Diane Blodgett of Iowa City, Shelley Bartenhagen (John) of Wapello and Gary Dickey (Michelle) of Wapello; his grandchildren, Blair Dickey, Alissa Dickey, Jennifer Crone (Tony), Alex Bartenhagen (Ashley), Abbey Gerling (Jordan), Evan Bartenhagen, Eryka Dickey and Garret Dickey; his great grandchildren, Taryn Crone, Adeline, Kip Gerling and Rhett Bartenhagen; and his siblings, Margie, Karen, Hilda, Ruth, Harry and Raymond. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
