It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dan Holsteen of Wapello, Iowa, born in Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on June 4, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Holsteen and Geraldine H. Holsteen (Washburne); and his brother Richard Holsteen. He is survived by: his wife Merideth Korf; his children, Darren Holsteen (Shelly) of Wapello, Stephanie Witte (John) of Mediapolis and Roxanne Kropf (Kevin) of Marion; his grandchildren, Jake Holsteen (Katy), Jessica Gerst (Caleb), Rachel Holsteen, Jacob Long (Liz), Paige Carlson (Craig), Renae Goldensoph (Greg), Nicole Bloomberg (Joe), Joelle Shadle (Dalton), Kendra Witte, Justin Witte, Brandon Kropf and Tyler Kropf; his great grandchildren, Weston, Blakely, Graham, Collins, Kenna, Oakleigh, Logan, Hayden and Eloise; his brother David Holsteen of Burlington; and his nephews, Todd and Travis Holsteen.
