He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl William and Minnie May Samuels (Cary); his wife Jaqueline Faye Wykert (Jackie); and his sister Edna Small. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Samuels of Brandon, Florida and Merna Dowell; his son-in-law Reed Dowell of Wapello; his granddaughters, Amanda Marie Brown (Michael) of Winfield and Cary Louise Peterson (Derrick) of Nevada, Iowa; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Carithers and Vicki Hook. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
