He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy "Banty" Hartsock and Madeline Hartsock (Dotson); his wife Marjorie Nichols; and his siblings, Larry Hartsock and Darlene Williams.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Ervin (Charles) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Ryan and Zach Ervin; and his great grandchildren, Spencer, Leon and Kiari. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Wapello (209 Franklin St, Wapello, IA 52653). A memorial has been established for the Korean Veterans in Bill's name.
