He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Sampson and Edna Sampson; and his parents-in-law, John and Eloise Smyser. He is survived by: his wife Kay Jean Smyser; his son Johnny of Dodge City, Kansas; his siblings, Robert, James (Aug), Walter and Mary; his siblings-in-law, Thomas Willie, Ed Nash, Lewis Porter, Bill Long, Burt Rogers, Glen Figgins, Darlene Sampson and Joyce Nash; his nephew Ronnie Willie; his daughters, Brenda Waddell (Bruce) of Harlan, Iowa and Cindy Glenn (Jerry) of Walnut, Iowa.; his siblings, Dave Sampson (Carol) of Hancock, Iowa, Arnie Sampson (Carol) of Pikeville, Wayne Sampson of Underwood, Iowa, Susan Libby of Walnut, Iowa, Martha Hargens (Randy) of Walnut, Iowa, Joseph and Pete Sampson (Margaret) of Elliot, Iowa.; and his sisters-in-law, Barb Sampson of Avoca, Iowa, Colleen Figgins of Corning, Iowa, Mary Ann Long of Ava, Missouri, Patty Rogers of Livonia, Louisiana, Cheri Thornton (Lyle) of Sparta, Missouri and Terry Daugherty (Steve) of Urbandale, Iowa.. He is also survived by His 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
