The memory of Delly Mickelson (Wallingford, Iowa), who passed away on January 30, 2025 at the age of 80, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Mickelson and Mildred Mickelson; his wife Linda Jean Kerr; his brothers, Ron Mickelson (Carol) and Eugene Mickelson (Janice); his brothers-in-law, David Wolf and Kenneth Moisuk; and his parents-in-law, Arthur and Wanda Kerr.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Reyes (Juan) and Mindy Hockett (Lonnie); his grandchildren, Amanda Reyes (Fernando), Nathan Reyes (Antoinette), Marissa Reyes (Eddie), Madison Hockett (Nicholas) and Kerken Hockett; his sisters-in-law, Sandy Wolf and Cindy Kerr-Moisuk; and his nieces and nephews, Brenda Walck, Melissa Kirui (Dominic), Craig Carter (Beth), Joel Mickelson (Nikki) and Kevin Wolf (Jennifer). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wallingford Lutheran Church (221 St James Ave, Wallingford, IA 51365). During the COVID isolation, Delly and Linda made the most of their time together.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Emmet County Relay For Life or North Central Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
