He was predeceased by: his father Virgil Drost; his father-in-law Clayton Schroeder; and his brothers-in-law, John Schroeder, Tom Schroeder and Warren Bush.
He is survived by: his mother Gertrude Drost (Morenz) of Lake View, IA; his wife Lisa Drost of Wall Lake, IA; his children, Brittany Bettin (Dylan) of Odebolt, IA, Brandi Redenius (Patrick) of Ida Grove, IA, Matthew Drost (Amanda) of Wall Lake, IA and Rachel Drost of Wall Lake, IA; his siblings, Randy Drost (Julie), Wes Drost (Kim), Doug Drost (Margaret), Monica Pudenz (Alan) and Brenda Bergman (Mike); his mother-in-law Mary Schroeder; his siblings-in-law, Richard Schroeder (Melody), Linda Bush, Donna Schroeder, Marg Powers (Rick), Diane Schroeder and Cathy Middleton (Lynn); and his grandchildren, Kennedy, Karver Bettin, Tinley, Ren Redenius, Danika and Cannon Drost. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
