He is survived by: his wife Hilde Arnold of Wall Lake, IA; his children, Fred Arnold of Coralville, IA, Marvin Arnold (Sue) of Wall Lake, IA and Renata Kies of Dallas Center, IA; his grandchildren, Jason Kies (Jill) of Wall Lake, IA, Chad Kies (Kate) of Geneseo, IL, Emily Swensen (Nathan) of Carroll, IA and Eric Arnold (Sara) of Ames, IA; his great grandchildren, Megan, Kolby, Karsyn Kies, Caidence, Peyton, Colton, Miller Kies, Andrew, Kaleb Swensen, Clayton and Levi Arnold; his brother Erich Arnold of Edmonton, Canada; his sisters-in-law, Wilma Bramstedt (Otto) of Germany, Erna Lubson of Germany, Anne Toepken of Germany and Monica Rutemann of Germany; and his close friend Siegfried Muller of Germany. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
