He is survived by: his sons, John Shanks (Kim) of Omaha, NE and Benjamin Shanks (Donna) of Auburn, IA; his close friend Joleen Dohm of Omaha, NE; his stepdaughter Sarah Segabart (Andy) of Carroll, IA; his grandchildren, Kayla Ehrig, Jarod Shanks, Hannah Shanks, Chloee Shanks, Bailey Shanks and Josie Shanks; his stepgrandchildren, Madeline, Elizabeth and Adam; and his brothers, Robert Shull (Becky) and Richard Shull (Karen). He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
