He is survived by: his mother Betty Mathews (Ashcraft) of Walker; his sons, Harley Mathews (Amanda), Adam Mathews, Richard Mathews (Brittany) and Mason Mathews; his grandson Wendell Mathews of Corpus Christi, TX; and his siblings, Gary Mathews (Pam) of Priest River, ID, Terry (Teresa Schnell) of Walker, Deb Thompson (Gary) of Center Point, Wendy Merrett (Stewart) of Walker, Bobbie Benson (Gary) of Urbana and Karen Dizayee of Santa Maria, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
