She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Smock and Edna Smock (Tyrrell); her husband George Brecht; her grandson Justin; and her siblings, Lois (Burt), Jayne (Mert), Bud (Brenda), Val and Rick.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Woods of Walker, Mark Brecht (Sue) of Waterloo, Peggy Fitzsenry of Independence, Russell Brecht of Walker and Brad Brecht (Cammie) of Dubuque; her sisters, Audrey Loecke (Ambrose) and Joyce Barnhart (Gary); and her sisters-in-law, Mary Smock and Carolyn Smock. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
