He is survived by: his wife Judith Bauer of Walker, Iowa; his children, Lorraine Melchert (Mike) of West Branch, Angela Davis (Mark) of Shellsburg and Tim Bauer of Walker; his grandchildren, Nick Melchert, Zach Melchert, Haley Melchert, Taryn Davis, Dakota Davis and Natalie Bauer; and his sister Donita Bauer (Jill Thompson) of Missouri.
