He was predeceased by: his brothers, Rhiney, Steve and Kelly; and his parents, Harold Skelton and Beulah Skelton (Maire).

He is survived by: his wife Deb; his sons, Jim of Pleasant Hill and Chris (Kristin) of Elmhurst, Illinois; his sisters, Cheryl Carnahan (Jim) of Cedar Rapids and Susan Blomme of Marion; his grandchildren, Jadin, Samuel and Eden; and his former wife Deborah M. Olson.

Memorial donations may be given to the Bible Baptist Church.
