She was predeceased by: her parents, George DePorter and Alice DePorter (Dewaele); her in-laws, Harry and Ella Holst (Brus); her siblings, Don, Alan, Eugene "Bert" DePorter, Elaine Blaser, Carol Ehrecke, Joanne Jennings and Terese Hayes; her siblings-in-law, Paul Dierickx, Bob Blaser, Bill Ehrecke, Tom Jennings, Jeanne DePorter and Judy DePorter; and her great grandchild Ignatius Lind.
She is survived by: her husband Don; her children, Myra Cooper (Perry) of San Antonio, TX, Mike Holst (Tina) of Stockton, IA, Tom Holst (Ann) of Walcott, IA, Rita Freese (Kurt) of Ida Grove, IA and Renae Lind (Jim) of Belton, MO; her grandchildren, Erin Smith (Alex), Elise Alvarez (Vince), Kyle Cooper (Esmerelda), Tyler Holst (Aleah), Brooke Von Ehwegen (Austin), Zach Holst (Shannon), Morgan Dykstra (Matt), Ben Andry, Emily Reeve (Nick), Colin Freese (Carlie), Chris Freese (Taylor), Olivia Wulf (Jake), Elyssa Freese (Nick), Taylor Biondo (Anthony), Matt Lind (Abby) and Joe Lind (Johanna); and her siblings-in-law, Nelda Dierickx, Mary Oetzmann, Kathleen Wulf DePorter, Gene Oetzmann and Jim Hayes. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Compassus Hospice, Walcott Fire Department and Durant Ambulance.
