He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Meincke and Lavone Meincke (Wells); and his brother-in-law Ralph Gronewold. He is survived by: his wife Karen Thomsen; his children, Lynnette Tarchinski (Joe) of Walcott and Kyle Meincke (Jennifer) of Plainview; his grandchildren, Logan, Natalie, Evelyn, Cora and Roman; and his siblings, Marilyn Gronewold of Donahue and Wayne Meincke (Rose) of Durant.

Memorials may be given to Durant American Legion Post #430 and Walcott Parks in his memory.
