She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Siefers and Eleanor Siefers (Dillon); her husband Mel; her son Michael Brus; her daughter-in-law Lynn Brus; and her brother Richard Siefers, Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Linda Kostichek (Jack) of Walcott, John Brus of Stockton and Andrew Brus (Sue) of Walcott; and her daughter-in-law Terry Brus of Leoma. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Bentley Funeral Home (1001 6th St, Durant, IA 52747). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Walcott American Legion or the Walcott Fire Department.
