He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Brus and Arleen Brus (Siefers); his brother Michael Brus; and his sister-in-law Lynn Brus. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his daughters, Carrie Brus and Kate Heid (Ryan); his granddaughter Charlotte; his siblings, Linda Kostichek (Jack) and John Brus; and his sister-in-law Terry Brus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bentley Funeral Home (1001 6th St, Durant, IA 52747). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Walcott Fire Department or Walcott American Legion.
