He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Wilder and Mildred Wilder (Jones) of Wadena, Iowa.; his wife Kathryn Nicola; his children, Linda Friede (Bob), Steve Wilder (Mary) and Diane Sack; his grandchildren, Matt Friede (Krisha), Brian Friede (Amanda), Amy Durden (Rustin), Brandon Wilder (Brooke), Holly Woodbridge (Kreg) and Miranda Wilder; and his brother Kenneth Wilder.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Epworth Methodist Church in Ottawa, Illinois or Lakeside United Methodist Church, Sanford, Florida.
