He is survived by: his sons, Mike Knipper of Volga, Brian Hummel of Strawberry Point and Nick Knipper (Ashley Wilson) of Volga; his grandchildren, Tyler Long and Aiden Knipper; and his sister Alice Kleinow (Mark) of Marquette.
