He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Goodell and Helen Goodell (Bickal); his spouse Shirley Brehm; his children, Cynthia Goodell and Joseph Goodell; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Goodell and Richard Edler.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Helen Cocklin of Indiana, Mark Goodell (Judi) of Iowa City, Aaron Goodell (Susie) of Williamsburg and Erica Goodell-Hejlik of Springfield, VA.; his grandchildren, Kayla Jones (Tyson) of Washington, Karrie Seguro (Marco) of Indiana, Matthew Cocklin (Kristin) of Indiana, Abby Goodell, Alissa Goodell, AJ Goodell of Des Moines, Kyle Goodell of Williamsburg and Brianna Hejlik of Springfield, VA; his great grandchildren, Titus Jones, Kaysen Jones of Washington, Chloe Cocklin of Indiana, Kaylyn Cocklin of Indiana and Addisyn Cocklin of Indiana; his grandchildren, Amalia Seguro and Emilee Seguro of Indiana; his siblings, Leon Goodell (Sam) of Boyd, Gary Goodell of Apple Valley, CA, Kim Goodell (Beverly) of Smyrna, GA and Linda Edler of North Liberty; and his sister-in-law Karen Goodell of Urbana.
