He was predeceased by: his father Jerome Wilhelm; and his parents-in-law, Loyal Ure and Margaret Ure. He is survived by: his mother Donna Wilhelm (Dolge) of Newhall; his wife Christine Ure; his children, Cindy Brunssen (Kyle) of Newhall and Brandon Wilhelm (Reanna) of Newhall; his grandchildren, Isaak Schmitz, Nathan Schmitz, Anastasia Brunssen, Levi Schmitz, Jackson Schmitz and Aubree Brunssen; his siblings, Deb Herb (Duayne) of Hiawatha, Julie Wilhelm-Peacock of Marion and Bob Wilhelm (Tami) of Deep River; and his sister-in-law Joni Jones (Chuck) of Amana.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E 6th St, Vinton, IA 52349). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the G. Luckey Amercian Legion Post #57 (105 N R Ave, Vinton, IA 52349). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Mound Cemetery (2650 77th St, Watkins, IA 52354).
