He is survived by: his sons, Jim Smith (Sherry) of St. Louis, Greg Smith (Susan) of Yorktown, IN and Mike Smith of Yorktown, IN; his daughter-in-law Roxie Smith of Clermont, FL; and his grandchildren, Jeff Smith (Dawn) of Waterloo, Brad Smith (Gaby) of Prosper, TX, Nicole Burdge of St. Louis, MO, Aaron Smith of Memphis, TN, Sarah Cira (Tom) of Granger, IN, Molly Woody (Josh) of Fishers, IN, Shelly Smith of San Diego, CA, Mark Smith of Yorktown, IN and Scott Smith of San Jose, CA. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
