He is survived by: his parents, Matt Betterton and Jodie Betterton (Scott); his brother John; his grandparents, Derrell, Mickey Scott of Independence, Pat and John Betterton of Vinton; his uncle Chuck Betterton (Kim) of Vinton; and his children, Morgan, Charlie, Becky Kuper (Morgan) of Jesup, Taylor, Jake, Paige, Sam, Maddie, Jack, Paul Betterton (Lisa), Keaton, Kelsey, Kolton, Kaylee, Katie, Kaden, Travis Scott (Jessica) of Alburnett, Madeline, Abigail and Isabelle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the Vinton-Shellsburg wrestling and soccer programs.
