He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene; his son-in-law Gary Schminke; his siblings, Otto Krug Jr. (Shirley), Violet and Corrine; his brother-in-law Darrel Dake (Katherine); his great grandchild Jordan Fletcher; his parents, Otto Sr. Jane and Mary Jane; and his parents-in-law, Harold and Erma Dake.
He is survived by: his children, Otto Sr., Mary Jane Krug (McNamee), Linda Schminke (late Gary) of Pella, Glennys Phelps (Larry) of Clarksville, TN and Jolyn Petermeier (Dave) of Alhambra, IL; his grandchildren, Cindy Van Donselaar (Schminke), Mitch Schminke, Tabetha (Phelps) and Sarah (Phelps); his brothers, Robert Dean (Karen) and Merlin John (Judy) of California; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Dake (Anne) and Lyle (Marilyn).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left for the Vinton Lutheran Home for the purchase of media equipment for residents to video chat with their families, or the Vinton Christian Church in Glenn's name.
