He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Lee and Abbie Lee; his brother Roy Thacker; and his in-laws, Donald, Merle Alpers and George Thacker Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Alpers; his son Caleb Thacker (Kim) of Shellsburg; his grandchildren, Jalina Jo Thacker and Jaxon Thacker; his sister Sandra Radcliffe (Ron) of Hockley, TX; and his brothers-in-law, Greg Alpers (Tab) of Bartow, FL and John Alpers (Denise) of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by 4 nieces and 8 nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Virginia Gay Respiratory Department.
