It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Gene Covington of Vinton, Iowa, born in Bakersfield, California, who passed away on November 13, 2022, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Burl Covington; his brother Scott Covington; and his grandparents, Cecil, Mae Covington, Vernon and Effie Crow.
He is survived by: his mother Vivian Covington (Crow) of Vinton; his siblings, Duane Covington (Elaine) of Ottumwa and Susan Poplawski (David) of Cedar Rapids; and his nieces and nephews, Keisha Glydewell of Cedar Rapids, Amber Covington of Prairie City, IA, Nathan Covington of Ames, Joely Covington of Crossville, TN, Alex Poplawski of Cedar Rapids and Emma Poplawski of Cedar Rapids.
