Cheryl left this world on October 6, 2024 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Finis Brandenburg (Donna) and Darlene Corell (Cletus); her daughter Kelli Howes; her granddaughter Katrina Howes; and her brother Richard Brandenburg.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kristi Schadle (Greg) of Keystone, IA and Kerri Benda (Terry) of Urbana, IA; her son-in-law Mike Howes of Dubuque, IA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ebner (Tom), Nicole Kress (Jay), Michelle Benda, Jeremy Benda (Emily) and Hanna Wegner; her great grandchildren, Jordan, Alec, Nick, Belle, Kaitlyn and Charlie; her sister-in-law Shirley Brandenburg of Cedar Rapids, IA; and her siblings, Bill Brandenburg (Judith), Judy Hayes, JoAnn Hammond (LaVerne), Mike Brandenburg (Georgann), Paul Brandenburg (Patty), Georgiann Meester (Bob), Barb Oltman (Roger) and Neil Brandenburg (Sylvia).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Compassus and or the Cedar Valley Human Society.
