She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Hagerty and Aletha Hagerty (Yost); and her husband Derold Happel. She is survived by: her sons, Rick Happel of Vinton and Doug Happel (Jennifer Strange) of Vinton; her grandchildren, Renee Happel of Des Moines, Rebecca Sturtz (Matt) of Vinton and Michael Happel of Vinton; her sister Lois Ewins (Perry) of Robins; and her brother-in-law Vernon Happel (Betty) of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha.
