He was predeceased by: his parents, William Benson and Lois Benson (Hartrampf); and his siblings-in-law, Vicki Benson and Charlie Blackburn. He is survived by: his siblings, Jason Benson of Tipton, Eric Benson of Cedar Rapids, Cindy Blackburn of Vinton, Lacey Mason (Dan) of Kellogg, IA and Sally Ann Benson of Vinton; his stepdaughter Sayde Malcuit of Cedar Rapids; his nieces, Samantha Benson and Heather Benson; his nephew Blaine Blackburn; and his close friend Janelle Solberg.
