With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alvin Howard Kite of Vinton, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 30, 2024 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Alvin leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Alvin may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Kite and Joanne Kite (Kiesel); his brother Alan Kite; and his grandson William Kite. He is survived by: his wife Shannon Umbarger of Vinton; his sons, Dale Kite (Chrystal) of Van Horne, Thomas Kite (Desteny) of Cedar Rapids and Cole Kite (Lauren) of Vinton; and his sister Deb Buck of Harlan.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home (1212 1st Ave, Vinton, IA 52349).
A memorial fund has been established.
