He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Rohrer; his children, John Dencklau of Vincent, Jody Rossow (Rick) of Vincent and Tony Dencklau (Robin) of Fort Dodge; his grandson Eric Rossow (Heidi); his great grandchildren, Greta and Hugo; his grandchildren, Lindsey Rossow (Jordon Frakes) and Laura Rutherford (Corey); his great grandchildren, Adley and Boone; his grandchild Ryan Rossow; his siblings, Delbert Dencklau of Fort Dodge, Earl Dencklau of Duncombe and LaVerna Wilson of Duncombe; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Dencklau of Texas, Darlene Dencklau of Fort Dodge and Charlotte Blankenhagen of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
