He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Greenfield and Ruby Greenfield (Stalder); his brother Ed Greenfield; and his siblings-in-law, John Patterson, Floyd Hamman, Shirley Patterson, Anna Marie Patterson and Pat Greenfield.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Greenfield of Villisca, IA; his daughters, Trudy Johannsen (Clay) of Avoca, IA and Tracy Carlson of Lancaster County, PA; his grandchildren, Chase Johannsen (Christie) of Adel, IA, Cole Johannsen (Rachel) of Glenwood, IA, Kylee Carlson of Reading, PA and Drew Carlson of Santa Cruz, CA; his great grandchildren, Adalynn Johannsen, Peyton Johannsen and Hanna Hetrick; his sister Dorothy Hamman of Red Oak, IA; his siblings-in-law, Don Patterson of Villisca, IA and Norma Parish of Villisca, IA; and his aunt Ruth Lampe of Winterset, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
