He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Heard and Alice Heard (Iversen); his wife Linda Heard; his parents-in-law, Darwin and Gladys Kendrick; his nephews, Rick and Danny Heard; and his sister-in-law Janice Kendrick.
He is survived by: his daughters, Misti Gayle of Villisca, Staci Sunderman (Brad) of Villisca and Darci Poston (Jason) of Villisca; his grandchildren, Damon Sunderman of Villisca, Danica Sunderman of Villisca, Hunter Poston of Villisca, Karsyn Poston of Villisca, Anistyn Poston of Villisca, Delaney Yates of Villisca and Taylor Yates of Villisca; his brothers, Merrill Heard (Janet) of Tabor and Leo Heard (Phyllis) of St. Charles, Iowa; and his brother-in-law Darwin Kendrick. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; and many special friends.
