He is survived by: his children, John Thys, Jr. (Deb) of Belle Plaine, Joel Thys (Dawn) of Blairstown, Julie Klein (Mike) of Brooklyn and Jeff Thys (Stephanie) of Victor; his brothers, Bob Thys (Glenda) of Tipton, Tom Thys (Jean) of Victor and Mike Thys (Patsy) of Victor; and his aunt Mary Scandridge of Brooklyn.
