He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ernest Meyer and Evelyn Marie Meyer (Ceynar); his stepfather Walter Foels; his stepbrother Stanley Foels; and his brother-in-law Rick DeDecker.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Meyer of Victor; his children, Kristine Leonard (Shane) of Marengo, IA, Jennifer Meyer of Victor and Eric Meyer of Williamsburg, IA; his grandchildren, Derek and Hannah Leonard; his siblings, Marilyn Kriegel (Francis) of Victor and Larry Meyer (Terri) of Eagle; his stepsiblings, Jim Foels (Elsie) of Brooklyn, IA, Richard Foels (Bev) of Oskaloosa, IA and Millie Purvis (Carl) of Guernsey, IA; and his sister-in-law Penne Rhinehart (Duane) of Victor. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
