We are sad to announce that on August 21, 2023, at the age of 79, Eddie LaVern Parmer of Van Wert, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Burton "Bud" and Thelma Irene Parmer (Roberts); and his brother Dean Parmer. He is survived by: his friends, Kenneth and Maude Campbell of Leon, Iowa.; his wife Ellen Parmer of Van Wert; his children, Kiley Hamell (Travis) of Des Moines, Kenny Parmer (Alison) of Manchester, DeAnn McFarland of Van Wert and James Snyder (Carol) of Van Wert; his grandchildren, Hayden, Thomas, Charles, Silas Hamell, Marcus Collins, Lucas Collins (Kayla), Logan Snyder (Rebekah) and Rhiannon McFarland; and his siblings, Barb Hornef (Karl) of Van Wert, Everett Parmer (Julie) of Van Wert, Carolyn Lewis of Van Wert and Ervin "Bubby" Parmer (Vickie) of St. Joseph, Missouri. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

A memorial fund has been established by the family.
