He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Randy Hershley and Melvin Potthoff. He is survived by: his parents, Jeff Potthoff of Van Meter and Lisa Potthoff of Van Meter; his siblings, Abbey, Austin and Anthony; and his grandmother Betty Potthoff of Manning. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the Van Meter Athletic Boosters.
