It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lauretta M. Petersen (Van Horne, Iowa), who passed away on September 13, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Flickinger and Edna Flickinger (Banse); her husband Harold Petersen; her son Dennis Petersen; her son-in-law John McCarty; her granddaughter-in-law Becky McCarty; and her brothers, Don Flickinger and Harold Flickinger.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Petersen (Deloris) of Newton, Judy McCarty of Cedar Rapids and Nancy Franck (Scott) of Atkins; her grandchildren, Jay McCarty (Deanna), Jeff McCarty (Jennifer), Jeremy Petersen (Erin), Rhonda Petersen, Amanda Busch (Chris), Jamie Franck (Dana), Darci Janss (Josh) and Larry Franck (Jess); and her sisters-in-law, Bernice Petersen, Patty Petersen, Leona Danker and Frances Hupfeld. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren.
